My third idea came from the word 'Survive' I simply used a thesaurus and look up Survive, I found a few words I thought would work, including; Endure, Recover and Sustain, but the word that cause my attention was EXIST.
The world exist to me represents Aliens, and how they exist in outer space. From this small thought I decided to create a fashion editorial that told a story of an alien landing on earth, and later returning back to it' planet.

As stated before I am a massive, massive, massive Michael Jackon fan. 

August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009 <3 RIP!

I find all of his lyrics inspirational, from something simple such as 

'if you can't feed ya baby, then don't have a baby, and don't think maybe, if you can't feed ya baby - Wouldn't be startin' something' 

to more popular lyrics like this line from Man in the mirror,

 'If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change.'

I decided to use Michael as my inspiration in this project as I feel he's had to fight to survive the negative publicity he's received from the media throughout his life, and even more now in his death. I feel his song 'They don't care about us' is pretty straight forward and fits my brief for the theme protest. I would love to create a story based on his music video.

While researching protests within Fashion, this hit my Social Media Newsfeed. A protest by PETA, involving 3 activitsts laying in coffins outside the Mastercard Fashion Week at David Pecaut Square.

Their signs read ' I wouldn't be caught dead in leather'.

The things people will do to get there point across... Good on them, I'm a fellow Vegetarian myself (Not a crazy, you must never eat meat or you will die vegetarian) and I feel that animals shouldn't be used to glamouris fashion photography.. you can buy a faux fur coat which will be softer, easier to clean and a lot healthier on your purse too! We have no need for real fur or leather in today's day an age.
