Yesterday morning I was suppose to shoot some promo images for Glass Giants, but found out that Alyn had crashed his car the night before so they were unable to make it.
Sad as it was that he ruined his car and I wasn't able to complete the shoot I'd been up all night cutting tiny pieces of confetti for... I was happy with the breakfast my mother and her partner bought me so it was a still a win!

Luckily, LED BY LIONS were all safe and able to attend for their evening slot! I couldn't be happier with the results myself.
The boys were all friendly, had an even amount of banter and professionalisum.. couldn't ask for a better band to get started with!
They knew exactly what they wanted, and were happy to be posed instead of me trying to capture 'natural' images. It's so hard to capture natural promotional images with bands inside a studio so it was a lot of weight off my sholders I'll tell you that!

I'm happy with the overall images, a few different looks made by simple lighting changes and I finally managed to evenly light all members of the band without having to dodge and burn in post processing. These images are almost straight from camera, only touchig up I needed to do were a few blemish's on skin (When I say a few, I literally mean just two. They all had amazing skin! Making the retoucher inside of me very pleased!) and some dirty marks on the floor.

Here's the result;

What do you think?
Where could I improve and what did you like the most?

Just stopping in on day 2/5 of my outfit posts!

Showing you an outfit I previously wore for my friends 21st birthday party (the roaring 20s)
I am in love with this outfit, and so happy I don't have university today, meaning I can look like a real lady around my house for as long as possible.... before I head off to enjoy my 21st birthday present from back in September to go and see You Me At Six. (OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!)

I wore a seperate outfit to see You Me At Six, I'll post that at a later date but for now, here's what I wore;

Coat - New Look.
Dress - Oasis (Debenhams)

Shoes - New Look
Hair Band - Primark.

I bought this coat again when I worked in New Look during the first year of university, got to love 50% off student discount. It's a little broken, the clips to tie it up at the front have all fallen out (Damn my larger chest) but even after 2 years of abuse in all that the great British weather can offer it's still very soft, hasn't lost its colour of even shown any wear or tear! It's my go to coat to keep warm!

My sister is getting married on the 5th of September, and this is the dress my mother wanted us bridesmaids to be wearing. My sister is very alternative, so had different ideas for us... but when I was invited to a 1920s birthday party I just had to have this dress! Running straight into Debenhams to find that the only size left was infact MINE! I just had to buy it.. and for £17 how could I say no!

My shoes were another New Look bargain. Their children's section now go up to a size 7! I have skinny size 6 feet, so my heels are always falling out of the back of the adult size 6s... these fit me like a charm. I'm not the best under the influence either, so a nice chunky heel keeps me on my toes all night and very comfortable the next day!

Whenever I'm in Cardiff town, I head to Primark for a little scout about for some bargains on sale; and that is exactly where I found my wonderful jewelled hair band. It's very heavy, so flops forward a bit when you're trying to sort out your shoes, but for £2 I'm not going to complain. It fit the theme perfectly and even though it fell off my head twice no damage was done! Very happy with it.
To secure it after getting fed up of it falling off, 2 simple bobble pins kept it firm all the way up until 4.30am when the bouncers dropped us home!

I am in love with this outfit, the whole thing! clothing, make up, perfect but easy hair, everything!
I wish I was born in the 1920s! I feel like I'm missing out?

EXCUSE MY WASHING LINE :D

How do you rate my outfit?

Going through my wardrobe today I've realised that it consists of 70% black and 30% pastel blue/yellow/pink.

I've decided to show you guys how I make my typical dark and miserable outfit choices pop with a little bit of colour. We might be in winter, but I will forever be in spring :)
I'm normally a very colourful person, but seeing as I've gained some weight, I find myself clinging to black clothing to make myself seem slimmer.

Oh the joys of writing a dissertation for university...

I wanted to show you my average outfit, not including the pjams I spent the majorty of the day in, but what I venture into the world wearing.

Today, We'll focus on all black, with silver details. You'll have to excuse the colour of my hair, it's actually a lot darker now! My loverboy took the images on auto mode and with the contrast between my clothing and skin... it took the brunt of it.

Today I wore;

Dress - H&M
Boots - Tesco - F&F
Spiked Leather Jacket - New Look.

I love all of these items I'm wearing today, because they all have a little bit of meaning to me.
The dress, I bought in Swansea's H&M while out enjoying myself visiting a friend, and then wore it clubbing the following night with one of the university girls before she went to Canada. A truely amazing night, though I must say I don't remember most of it.
(Which is completely out of character for me, normally I'm the sensible one who ends up looking after everyone)

The leather jacket was the first item I bought using my staff discount at New Look - Cardiff during the first week of Freshers in my first year of university! It turned a few heads during our events!

The shoes, I've recently started baby sitting my 2 year old nephew while his mother is at work every Friday, and he's been a trumendous help with my routine !
He picked out the shoes after his pram broke the ones I was wearing at the time.
I went into Tesco, because I couldn't walk the 10 minutes home with talking shoes!
I was talking out loud to myself, as you do.. 'What shoes should I get?'
I didn't want to spend much, because they were just to get my down the road and on a student budget I shouldn't be buying shoes... next thing I hear is my nephew screaming SHOES! while tolding these beauties. In my size, a size 6, and reduced to £10! The little man has expert style skills.

What do you think of todays outfit?

I leave University in less than 5 months now, and I'm still stuck on what I'd like to do after... I'm not a big fan of the whole 9-5 routine... but it's hard to get work in the photo world with camera's going to be so affordable and everyone becoming a 'photographer'.

I'm trying to widen my horizon and become a jack of all trades within the photography feild, so I've decided to photograph more genres.. today I photographed Music. A few boys I know through Skateboarding are in a local (South Wales) rock band. I sent them a simple message asking if they wanted some FREE promotional photos and of course they said yes!

Who would say no to free photos? :P

The band is called The Broadcasts - https://twitter.com/TheBroadcasts - and here are a set of images I completed for them in a two hour session in the studio today.

What do you think?
