B E A U T Y - PRIMARK GLITTER OBESSED EYE CREAM PALETTE

As you've all probably noticed from my previous posts in regards to festival and outfits of the days, I'm highly obsessed with anything to do with glitter. You will also notice that I'm not a huge fan of eye make up, but when I saw these bad boys in Primark I started to hyper ventilate a little  I needed them in my basket straight away!

I hadn't seen them before on any social media, or heard anything about them from anybody else. I just pop into store, saw them and had to buy them. Due to not seeing any reviews online, I didn't know if they would be a an absolute #extra steal, or some crappy kids first glitter make up kit. But it's £4, worth a shot!

For that teeny tiny £4, you can buy yourself 28 glitter eye creams, all in different colours. Even if they do seem a little similar in my photos, they are slightly different. Soft to the touch, and silky smooth with a Vaseline feel I thought I'd do a few swatches to share with you.

Here's what I found, each image is showcasing left to right of each line.

A little disappointed with product itself, a little too much Vaseline product not enough glitter causing the application to be very thin and sparse. I was really after a more pigmented look over all, the paler swatches need a second coat to resolve, but the brighter colours like the greens are killer! (and mermaid green is my fav so win win!)

The product itself needs to be dabbed on the skin rather than swiped, this way more glitter stays in place creating a more dramatic effect. If you're just after the subtle look then it's perfect. The product itself is beautiful on the skin. I used the same spot for all my swatches and just wiped away with a cheap make up wipe. I've got quite sensitive skin and it didn't irritate me at all which was a pleasant surprise. A little clumpy in places, but a nice flat brush should help out too. On another note. There isn't much product to go around. You'll see from the image below, just from these swatches I used quite a bit of product. So if you find your favorite shade, you'll only get around 5 maybe 6 uses out of it if you're lucky?

Obviously, it's from Primark, somethings are killer - some things are not. We learn from this. But I would still recommend the product. If you want excellent make up, you're going to have to pay for it. You'd still be able to create some great looks from this little beauty for a fraction of the price of other glitter palettes.

What do you think of this little beauty?

Aloha!

Day two here in Kefalonia!
We went down to Agosoli yesterday and seen some turtles swimming around the fishing boats waiting for some free dinner. We also headed to a few of the beaches close to our villa - I'll share a bigger post after full of names and places too.

Another bargain outfit post, this outfit cost less than £10.
The black Croptop/Bralet I grabbed from Primark as something quick and easy for me to wear at Bestival. I paid £3 for it, and bought the same in pink also.
It's super soft and can work with anything!

The shorts, I bought as part of a two piece set off Ebay - The top's super cute, but the sizing is completely off. These shorts were a size large, I assumed that because they were from China, it meant large in China - which is bit smaller the than UK. But these shorts were huge on me, so had to be brought in with a stitch. Yet, the crop top was tiny and gave me a super unflattering side boob so sadly I can't wear it :(

I'm sure I used the sandals for every outfit I brought with me on holiday, because Thomas Cook only give a 6k weight useage! 6k! redic!

But oh well. It works ;)

B E A U T Y - / / P A S T L E H A I R - - - - A G A I N !!

Hello guys!

So, my last post talked about how Michael and I might be heading to Bestival on the 8th, well... this post is to tell you that WE ARE!
I emailed Molly over at Get involved to ask when we would be likely to find out if we were successful with our request for Press accreditation, the babe as always replied back ASAP with the best news I've heard all bloody year!

We've got two tickets to work at Bestival 2016 from September 8th-12th! Lots of our friends are already heading over so it's going to be a bang tidy time! I'm so excited, BESTIVAL sorted us out big time this year with Common People Southampton, Camp Bestival and now Bestival. I really am one lucky little lady.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyhoooooo, I've been super excited for ages, and even more now.. I took a little trip to Newport to see a mate, didn't end up seeing my friend but bought a few bits and bobs ready for the festival - I'll do a big haul post some point next week once everything has arrived...

I had a little nose in Boots, and got a little carried away with the festival inspiration in store, so decided to dye my hair pastel again. I didn't know what I wanted to do, or how I wanted to do it but all I knew is that I wanted to do something to my hair... So I bought Pixie Lott's Wash Out Hair Colour. I normally go for pink, so I thought I would change it up a bit and by the mermaidy green.. but saidly they didn't have it in store, So I went with Lilac again! haha.

Now, as you can see, my roots are god awful. I've not touched my hair since the start of September 2015 because it was soo badly damaged. I used to use two box dyes of the whitest white you could think off, Loreal Prefference to be exact. It looked amazing, Game of thrones princess amazing, but badly damaged not so amazing on me!

It's almost at the point where it looks ombre, it's pretty light on the very top due to the sun bleaching it, but the underlayer is ridick!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So lets get started!
Firstly, I'll start by listing what is in the box;

Wash Out Hair Colour in Violet.

2 x Fade Out Shampoo

Leaflet showing instructions, expectations and other Pixie Lott products :)

The box also included a pair of plastic gloves.

--------------------------------------------------------------
 HOW TO;
So, Here's a step by step guild to use the product.

1; Shampoo hair.
I used my super cheap £1 Coconut and Lychee shampoo from Poundland, it's the bomb!

2; Towel dry hair.
The dryer the hair, the better the colour will take to your hair.

3; Put on the gloves provided and apply colour evenly through your hair, make sure to get it all!
I started by sectioning off my hair to make it a little easier to get all of it.

Then do the top half aswell! Make sure you've got every bit!!

4; Once the product is all over your hair, wait up to 15 minutes for the colour to set in.

5; Once your 15 minutes is up, wash it right out!

6; Now dry and style as you wish :D

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

END RESULT!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, I am super stoked with the outcome. I knew it wouldn't take very well in my roots, because they're mousey blonde>black, but they've faded in to beautifully.
The colour is more pearl than violet, due to the fact I missed a few bits which gave me a load of blonde highlights, but I'm happy with this.

My hair wasn't damaged at all by the colour, it's a bit frizzy from the lack of conditioner as it'd wash the colour out too soon; but seeing as I quickly blow dried it, and curled my hair I'm impressed by the condition, much better than the silver shampoos I've used previously. It also smells amazing, no harsh chemical smell. I can't decide if it smells like flowers or fruit, but it's a win win situation.

For £5.99 the results are better than I expected, my pink hair used to cost me a fortune and would come out every time I washed it. I'm preying this sticks a little longer, but it's easy to redo ready for Bestival in two weeks time!

I can't wait to get my mermaid locks out!
Nice one Pixie, you absolute doll!
I'm getting the green next time!

F A S H I O N - / / F E S T I V A L F A S H I O N I N S P I R A T I O N ! !

This week has been so busy with work I've wanted to scream, but... and a big BUT, I received an email from the lovely Molly @ Get Involved. I've been accepted as press for Common People in Southampton! (EEEEKKKKK!)

Sadly, I can only make it to the Sunday due to work commitments, But that's perfectly fine with me, because my main men Duran Duran are the headliners, I think I might die!!!!
The event as a whole has worked out perfect for me, I'll be going with my bestie William, who is happy to drive down, but best of all, I asked a friend of mine (Who studies Fashion in Southampton University) if she was going and it turns out she isn't (That's not the best bit. I really wish she was!) BUT BUT BUT! She's letting me and William stay at her flat for the evening, which saves us around £90 hotel fees ! (Loves ya Jaz <3)

With just 2 weeks to go I need to decide what I need to take for the job at hand. My idea is to capture the festival fashion trends, asking members of the public what they're wearing and why they chose that outfit along with some information about themselves! It's going to be super fun!

This then got me thinking, What on earth am I going to wear?!
I'm naturally cold at all times, so do I need a jumper/shirt? But it's sunny, and I'd like some colour on my skin so should I wear shorts? The struggle is unreal! So I decided to make some little outfit mood boards to inspire me !

Outfit 1 :
Superdry Dungarees
H&M Plain stripe vest (tied)
Vans trainers

Look 2.
New Look ripped jeans.
H&M Black Kimono
Hollister white cami
New look white sandals.

Outfit 3!
Primark shirt (Open and tied)
Levi denim shorts
Black hair bow
Holographic sandals.

Which outfit would you choose?

Is there any advice you'd give on outfits for a festival seeing this is my first one?

xoxo

I love birthdays and babies, so a First birthday for a gorgeous baby made me extremely happy!

This cheeky little munchkin was a pleasure to photograph. Believe it or not, he loved the shoot, but he just couldn't tell his face that! Nicholas helped me to build some images for my portfolio. This is my second cake smash, so I offered two free sessons to help gain an audidence.

I know little Nicholas's uncle, who offered his services as a model to me! Easy picking when you know people with beautiful kids!

After just turning 1, his mum was delighted for Nicholas to be choosen for some free images.

(I also made the nappy cover and bowtie! I'll create a tutorial soon on how I did it :D)

Here's a few from the photo session :)

Not long got back from La Plagne in France, and first things first, IT WAS AMAZING!
I pretty much feel like a novice, I've been snowboarding 4 years in a row before my trip to La Plagne, and as much as I love Bansko; It really is a different ball game!

As you can see, I didn't actually take that many pictures on the trip, because for once I was actually able to snowboard the whole time!

We flew via Crystal Ski, which is a package holiday site here in the UK, which you know, is mean't to make your booking experience easier and cuts out the middle man. Well, it didn't.. it was very stressful, making us change from Tignes to La Plagne 2 days before we left... but that's for another post.

We did have a wonderful upgrade and I will loved it!

D I Y - / / D I Y S O C K P H O N E H O L D E R

HEY GUYS!

Seeing as you guys really liked my previous post on how to make a crop top out of leggings, I thought I'd create another really, really, really simple DIY for you.
I've recently stated working out really hard, running/walking every day/gym/skating/anything I can do to burn a few more lbs off.

But anyways! I normally run with two phones, I have a Nokia Lumia, which has no apps at all :( So I can't focus on my running, but all my music is on there so I have this on me 100% off the time... But to ensure I get the rest out of my work outs I use Nike + (Nike Running) to show how far/how fast I run and how man calories I burn in the doing so.

My running bottoms only have one pocket, so I end up having to hold a phone in one hand and then a bottle of water in the other. Nightmare! So I've found a sollution and I'm going to show you how simple it is to create your own Sock Phone Holder!

Firstly, all you need is a sock and a pair of scissors. (Perfect way to use up your odd socks!)

Then you need to cut the toe section off the sock like so;

Then place the sock inside out, and pull it up to the top of your arm. One in position, roll the sock up from the bottom to ensure your pattern is showing!

Then put your phone in and enjoy your new funky sock!

I hope this was helpful! I am now off for a run around the lake myself with my bee phone sock :D
Let me know what you thought in the comments, and maybe show me your creations after?
