TRAVEL - Eden Eco Village, Kampot

Eden Eco Village is a stunning setting located within the Cham fishing village near Kampot City in Cambodia. It's around a 15 minute tuk tuk away from the busy streets of Kampot making it a great location to sit back and relax in nature, but still be accessible to what the city of Kampot has to offer.

I was lucky enough to partner with Eden Eco Village for this post to show you exactly what they have to offer in their secluded dream homes - it really is #goals. We stayed here for two days and loved every second of it. I stayed in one of their riverside Eco Bungalows. Each room comes with a Queen size bed (and mosquito net), Ensuite with sink, coconut shower and eco toilet, solar powered USB charger, fan and bright solar lighting. They also provide fresh towels and bedding every day. My favourite part of the bungalow is that we could just straight from the bungalow into the river!

The bungalows are perfect - they're wooden, open view design lets plenty of air and natural light into the bungalow to make you feel at ease. Each night we would sit out on the balcony over the river and watch the fishermen go by and the stars in the sky. We were even lucky enough to see Mars on our first night at the bungalow!

It may be in a pretty rural area but there is everything you need for a few nights to help you switch off. There's a restaurant on site named Eden's Kitchen which offers incredible thoughtful food that can be enjoyed on their stunning seating area that looks over the river. At Eden's Kitchen they take price in their cooking and only just the best sourced ingredients available. Everything is home made even their bread and they're perfectly conscious on how they impact the environment so only use olive oil in their cooking. They use local ingredients to give back to the community and everything is prepared fresh to order. The menu consists of western and Khmer food so has something for everyone and at a reasonable price so it doesn't break the bank.

At Eden they offer some activities to ensure there's something to keep you entertained, every morning (except Thursday's) they have a yoga class, and you can also hire kayak's and complete a loop of the river for an hour or two. If you'd like to go further afield not a problem the staff will happily help you to organised day trips and also help with any onward travel you need to order.

To book your stay at Eden Eco Village the best and cheapest way is to book via their WEBSITE to ensure that you're getting the best price available. The Eco Bungalow is their most expensive option at just $23 a night so 100% worth the money for the quality stay you receive.
